Width fittings
English-made men’s shoes and boots are generally made in fittings E, F, G and H. These can be classified simply as follows:
- E = Narrow
- F = Regular
- G = Wide
- H = Extra Wide

The core foundation of every shoe, the ‘last’ is the form over which the finished upper is shaped to give the shoe its distinctive shape and fitting properties. With over 140 years of shoemaking experience, Loake have developed many different last shapes and width fittings to cater to different needs and personal tastes and offer the best possible fitting qualities.

Loake's ‘Chatsworth’ is a premium Calf Leather boot, featuring Goodyear welted rubber soles for greater longevity and grip. Chatsworth uses the ‘Jockey’ last shape, and is available in a ‘G’ fitting. These men's shoes are designed and engineered in Kettering and made in our high-grade factory in England.
The Last 'Jockey'
Jockey is a G width last which will suit customers with wider feet. The fit is generous both at the toe and generally. The toe shape is rounded and of standard length. Customers who would normally purchase F width styles may wish to select a half size smaller with this last shape
